Our History

Mannov Consult was established in 1975 by Børge Mannov and, in the early years, concentrated primarily on the Danish biotech and pharmaceutical industries. When a media crisis erupted or an important lobby problem had to be solved, Mannov Consult was there.

Upon our founding, Mannov Consult also launched the newsletter ”Healthcare Debate – Drugs Info” which was soon to form the basis of the largest database in the country with information on the health sector. A couple of years later, the newsletter ”Environment Info” followed. Both newsletters are still in demand, and they are published daily in electronic form.

In 1995, Mannov Consult, with its seven employees, was transformed into a joint-stock company, and Steffen Lüders was admitted as partner and CEO. Since, the company has grown steadily every single year without exception.

In 1999, Mannov Consult changed its name to GCI Mannov A/S, and the company became part of the GCI Group. In 2001, Steffen Lüders was admitted to GCI's international management, and in 2006 he was appointed European chairman while continuing as CEO of GCI Mannov.

In the beginning of 2009 GCI Mannov changed its name to Mannov as we became part of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, a much lager network with 82 sister companies world wide.

Today, Mannov is Denmark’s largest communications- and public relations agency with 9 partners and 50 employees working from offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Malmo.
