Internal Communication

Good communication is the daily driving force in companies and an indispensable part of change processes. Today, it has become obvious that management is communication – and communication is management. Good internal communication creates commitment and loyalty among the employees and eliminates dissatisfaction and waste of time as a result of information, speculations and uncertainty.

Mannov’s research of internal communication at Danish workplaces clearly shows that the direct, oral communication with managers and colleagues is the most important form of communication. The employees seek information and dialogue with their superiors – and with the top management. This fact should be reflected in the planning of internal communication, in order for managers to define roles and responsibility in the internal communication as well as tools and training.
